Event Support
At the West Hub, events are more than just dates on a calendar, they’re opportunities to connect, collaborate, and create lasting impact. From research symposia and student showcases to creative workshops, corporate seminars, and public engagement activities, our experienced Events Team is here to help bring your ideas to life.
Our flexible, fully equipped spaces support a variety of formats, including exhibitions, informal meetups, hybrid conferences, and large-scale talks. We offer end-to-end support, from AV and technical setup to risk assessment guidance and on-the-day coordination, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Library Services
Delivered by University of Cambridge Libraries and Archives, the West Hub Library Services are a pioneering reimagining of traditional library resources, seamlessly integrated into the West Hub to support collaboration, creativity, and focused study. Unlike conventional libraries, these services are blended with dynamic and flexible workspaces, digital resources, and community-driven programming, creating an environment that caters to both individual research and group innovation.
We offer a wide range of services to support both structured academic learning and independent research, including guidance in subject-specific areas, academic skills, professional development, and more. We can also connect you with specialists to support your needs.
AV & IT Services
The West Hub provides integrated AV and IT services to support teaching, collaboration, and events of all scales. The in-house team offers expert assistance ranging from routine IT support to complex multi-room configurations. Services include the facilitation of hybrid seminars, presentations, and live-streamed content, all delivered with high-quality equipment and reliable on-site support to ensure a seamless experience.
Food & Beverage
The West Hub offers a vibrant selection of food and drink options to suit every part of your day. From freshly brewed coffee and pastries at the Hub Coffee Bar to breakfast and hot lunch at the sociable Hub Canteen, there’s something for everyone.
The Italian Corner serves up sourdough pizzas, freshly made sandwiches, and pasta dishes to order, offering bold flavours in a relaxed setting. The Café & Bar provides a laid-back space for brunch, small plates, and post-work drinks.
The on-site Shop is stocked with snacks, drinks, and everyday essentials. All of these outlets are conveniently located on the ground floor, making it easy to grab something on the go or take a break and unwind between meetings. There’s something for everyone, across tastes, timings, and occasions.
Retail & Post Office
Located on the ground floor of the West Hub, the Post Office & Shop is your convenient one-stop destination for everyday essentials and postal services. If you need a quick snack, a cold drink, or a ready-cooked meal, the shop is well-stocked to keep you fuelled throughout the day.
In addition to food and drink, you’ll find a range of everyday items including toiletries, stationery, and household essentials. The on-site Post Office offers a full suite of services, from postage and packaging to the delivery and return of online shopping, including receiving and returning Amazon parcels, ideal for busy staff, students, and visitors. Please note, the last post is collected at 4:00pm.
